You may or may not have heard of MICRO-NEEDLING or COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY (CIT), they are in effect the same thing. The treatment employs tiny medical-grade needles to create micro-channels in the skin to excite the release of growth factors, leading to the synthesis of new collagen and elastin.

What are the benefits of CIT?

What does the procedure involve?

After your consultation, the skin is cleansed and sterilised. The EPN needles are programmed to the target depth and automatically stamped onto the skin as the pen is slid over the treatment area to create thousands of micro wounds. This stimulates the skin to regenerate, initiating the production of elastin and collagen. The treatment combined and finished with an active soothing serum and can followed up with a Dermalux Phototherapy Treatment to enhance the regeneration process and aid recovery.

How does it feel?

Some describe the sensation as a prickly, scratchy or zingy. I will adjust the pen to your comfort level during the procedure. The depth of treatment required will be dependant on your skin condition, what you wish to target and your comfort level.

What happens after?

Immediately after the treatment you may experience some erythema (redness) and mild swelling around the treatment area. This is usually short-lived but that may last up to 3 days. Avoid touching the skin, UV exposure, swimming, make up and activities that result in sweating immediately after the treatment. Normal activities may resume the following day.

What does the procedure involve?

The skin is prepared with a hydrating enzyme exfoliant & sterilised. A customised clinically sterile active solution is then prepared for injection and the EPN pen is glided over the skin creating physical micro-channels to deliver the solution to the mesoderm for uptake in the cells.

What treatment options do I have?

A course of 3 is recommended 4 to 8 weeks apart, dependant on your skin condition. Then once every 6 to 12 months to maintain. A 10% discount applies for any 3 pack purchased. Skin will need to be prepped with some active skincare prior to treatment to ensure the cells we are regenerating are nice juicy healthy ones. RESULTS

The collagen renewal process is complex so it can take some time to regenerate and mature into the juicy, spongy, plump collagen we all desire.
